Donor Profile: Margaret Martin
Margaret Martin grew up on a South Texas ranch near Laredo, and that experience connected her to nature in a way that inspired her lifelong commitment to conservation. She served on many local agriculture-focused boards before Governor Rick Perry tapped her to serve on the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission in 2007, where she served until 2015.

Since October 2017, Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation has raised more than $6 million to help advance the capabilities of Texas Game Wardens and equip them with the specialty equipment needed to maintain safety and ensure the highest level of service for the people of Texas.

Our Mission
The S. Reed Morian Gear Up for Game Wardens program provides specialty equipment your Texas Game Wardens need to maintain safety and ensure the highest level of service for the people of Texas. The state provides the basic necessities for wardens to do their jobs, but there is still a critical need for additional equipment.
Who We Are
A group of dedicated citizens is partnering with Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation (TPWF), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, to launch the S. Reed Morian Gear Up for Game Wardens program. As a new program of TPWF, Gear Up for Game Wardens is raising private funds to ensure that Texas’ 550 game wardens have access to specialized equipment beyond their standard issue gear.
